Project Description
Engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of a 100 MW power plant with a thermal storage capacity of seven hours, through the use of molten salts. Consisting of 266 loops (360,000 mirrors / 12,768 parabolic troughs). Located in Upington, in the Northern Cape province, once operational, it will have an electricity for more than 80,000 homes.
Pangea’s Role:
- Key commercial and contractual management and administration of the Operations and Maintenance Agreement.
- Raised and managed Warranty Claims linked to the Warranty Liability period, both historic and current under the Operations & Maintenance Agreement.
- Advised on General Terms and Conditions to be used in future Procurement strategies.
- Closure of final discussions around the EPC Agreement.
