Current time in Mozambique (Maputo):
Mozambique is a very accessible place to visit, but it is not yet overcrowded with throngs of tourists, thus it is a truly romantic destination. The stretching beaches and inviting islands provide a welcome getaway from city life, and let's face it, not much beats buying fresh fish off a fisherman before grilling it outside your beach hut half an hour later!
There are several beaches along the coast, and where you choose to go depends on your means of transport and how secluded you really want to be. Getting there ranges from party buses, flying and hiring a 4x4, driving all the way, or even taking a yacht! Let us show you the way...

When to go
To see Mozambique when the rainfall and heat are at their lowest, go between April and November. It's fine to visit over Christmas but keep in mind that the temperatures get very high, and of course it is peak season so accommodation prices rise (as they do in August holidays too).
