Current time in the Maldives:
This tiny country in the middle of the Indian Ocean delivers the promise of white sands, blue skies, palm trees and clear waters – in essence, a tropical paradise. It is an especially appealing destination for those seeking world-class scuba diving and snorkeling. The Maldives' 1,200 small coral islands and 26 atolls (massive coral growths on a submerged mountain range or volcano) are a diver's mecca. Maldivian reefs encompass channels, pinnacles and walls, and are resplendent with corals, sponges and anemones. For those craving to fulfill lifelong diving dreams or those simply wanting to bask in tropical luxury, the Maldives are the perfect destination.
